Empowering students and teachers with AI in Create & Learn

At Create & Learn, we are eager to offer the best learning experiences to our students. The new AI development has allowed us to do more than before. Today, I want to share a number of AI initiatives that focus on increasing learning experiences for our students.

These efforts are included in two main areas: applications facing students and professional teacher development. We began to offer complete and comprehensive AI courses for grades 4-8 in 2018-one of the earliest in this country. For teachers, our AI tools help them quickly accelerate with a new curriculum and provide feedback about classroom teaching to help teachers continue to improve their teaching practices.

We offer various classes that teach students how AI works and how to use them effectively. One of our foundation classes is AI Explorers course. This class gives students broad description of AI, which includes main topics such as nerve networks, supervised learning and strengthening, data collection, and real world applications such as computer vision, robotics, art, and creativity.

Leverage AI in learning coding

For example, in our Python class, students use AI to make their code, exchange project ideas, or get help when they are jammed. Our joint study with SMASH shows that by integrating AI into data science class, students not only produce stronger projects but also show more interest and higher motivation in pursuing data science as a career.

To expand learning outside the classroom directly, we have built a series of AI -powered tools specifically designed for students.

AI for teachers: empowering educators

We also support teachers with AI power. We have developed tools to help educators quickly speed up a new curriculum. Our AI Assistant can explain the slide, suggest ways to teach content, and answer any questions a teacher might have when preparing for class.

In addition, we analyze the teacher class transcript using AI to provide personalized feedback. By comparing the transcript with our teaching rubric – developed in collaboration with the code.
